Peregrine Financial Group Cedar Falls, IA |

General Overview:
Architect: Structure Architects, Waterloo, IA Contractor: Peters Construction Corporation, Waterloo, IA
Glazing Contractor: Midwest Glazing, Cedar Rapids, IA
Project is a new construction exterior skin of an office building in Cedar Falls, IA. Scope required the responsibility of all components less precast and roof
system. A mock-up along with approval drawings were provided with the bid to the customer to assist in closing the project. The building was pursuing LEED
certification, so site design required limited perimeter access to protect the surrounding nature. The customer selected a combination of unitized and stick-system
Kawneer curtain wall for the straight and segmented elevations.
A custom cart design was manufactured specifically for this project. The site logistics were determined with the customer where it was elected to go thru the building
for installation. By staging the unitized frames on a custom cart that:
- Allowed the frames to be staged immediately after fabrication
- Could be loaded directly onto the trailer for shipment to the jobsite
- Could be unloaded at the jobsite with a rough-terrain fork truck
- Could have wheels inserted and loaded directly onto the floor slab and maneuvered thru the building to the point of installation
Note photograph illustrating site constraints.
